I do. I could never understand why a show about such horrible people could be so popular. Now there is a great article here about Seinfeld Liberals written by Ed Lasky. It definitely piqued my interest. (Hat tip to E.M. Zanotti of The American Princess, for finding a great piece.)

I could not agree more. I detest Seinfield. I will be glad when the show becomes completely forgotton about. I am so glad the next generation does not care for Seinfield either. Now the only time you here about Seinfield is when that stupid Festivus joke is referenced at Christmas.

I can't stand that show and I don't understand its popularity. I posted this because I'm listening to Howard Stern - History of. . . and they're interviewing him and it just reminds me of how much I abhor prime time television, especially that show; however, I also understand that people have their own taste, but I just can't stand that show! Nice to see a "I hate Seinfeld" website.

c'mon guys. It's a comedy about nothing! and it works. Seinfeld the comedian and larry david hit upon a winner. everyday stuff is funny when you take a slightly different view on it. Basically. life is short and by god, have a laugh at yourself! I'm done.

and I guess Patrician pseudo-intellectuals are only good at ad hominem attack rather than defending their argument with facts instead of puerile insults.

I guess simple simple country bumpkins are too provincial to understand real humor!

I hate any show/characters who are that detached and empty. It reminds me far too much of the real America these days.

I find it beyond amusing that 3 years later, this blog post still garners hits, attention, and comments.

Don't bash Seinfeld! It is, hands down, THE BEST SHOW EVER! I LOVE SEINFELD!

I am so glad to find company. I hate Seinfeld! I hate all the characters. More than ever, I hate the character of Elaine. How can they portray a woman in that way.....no offence to any ladies out there (who like the show), however IMHO that no self respecting woman should ever watch this show....
Boy!!! am I glad that its over.

I'm atheist, skeptic, and agnostic (did I forget to add godless?), quite socialist, and with some Jewish blood.
I loathe Seinfeld. For all the reasons already stated. Thank you.

Remember when sitcoms were truly entertaining? Yes, it's been a long, long, time when you could enjoy network programming. Sadly those days are gone forever. Thank God the classics remain and future generations can enjoy TV shows made during an era when TV really had watchability! I must say that I'm pleased to see so many people expressing their disdain regarding "Seinfeld." It utterly perplexes me as to how that show lasted for so long, and it's lasting popularity?!!!! Not to be disrespectful, but, I think "Seinfeld" fans are a bit on the quirky if not strange side. I'm basing my views on my own personal observations. Atheists, skeptics, and agnostics seem to really enjoy "Seinfeld." Yes, some of my co-workers that are secular (uggggggggggggggh!!!) are always talking about "cool Seinfeld." Dorks!
To sum it up: for something to be popular doesn't necessarily mean that it's a great thing; reality TV and SUV's are two examples of that.

no whites on jewish sitcoms huh?

I tried... I really did try to get through one entire episode. I couldn't do it. That show has the comedic value of Leukemia. I was always amazed how the audience laughed every single time that idiot, Kramer, burst through the door. Jerry is mildly amusing at best. The only business Elaine should have on a comedy sitcom should be in a nonspeaking role away from any scenes. And George, can there be a less funny or more obnoxious character in the history of television than George? I'd sooner watch a sitcom about Hitler and Osama bin Laden as roomies!

Dave,
I deleted part of your comment. The anti-semitic interrogative is, as evidenced by the other content of this blog unfair and insulting. If it makes you feel any better my wife and I still debate the show as she finds it funny and I don't.

Seinfled is clearly a lot funnier than M.A.S.H, Cheers, Friends, X FIles, Home Improvement. Seinfeld is was and always shall be amazing. whoooah

And you obviously have:
a. A juvenile grasp of the English language. (I edited your obnoxious expletive BTW.)
b. No respect for the opinions of others.
c. No sense of humor at all. I do hope you take the time learn about real humor. I recommend: Denis Leary, The Young Ones, Mel Brooks, George Carlin, and Dennis Miller.

you t***s obviously have no real sense of humor.

I absolutely agree with your comment about Seinfeld. I received a boxed-DVD set for christmas and could not even finish watching the first disk. While watching the show, only one thing continously ran through my mind: why are the audience laughing? What's so damn funny about the things that they are saying? The characters are constantly repeating the line over, and over and over again - and this apparently gets to the level of humour. This show is absolutely and completely idiotic. The characters cannot pair and match right.

The only thing I liked about Seinfield was that it ended and it ended with them in jail for their inhumane acts. It was fitting.

Very interesting post. I also loathe Seinfeld, but I think he is a great stand up comic. I love his ironic humor. Its' a shame that such perversion can be mainstreamed into a weekly comedy and mess up my excuse to like him, though. It's too bad because he's talented. But the few episodes I have been were mostly wreckless promiscuity.
