WASHINGTON, DC *In response to George W. Bush's invocation of prominent Democrats including President John F. Kennedy, Kennedy's daughter Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg issued this statement. "It's hard for me to listen to President Bush invoking my father's memory to attack John Kerry. Senator Kerry has demonstrated his courage and commitment to a stronger America throughout his entire career. President Kennedy inspired and united the country and so will John Kerry. President Bush is doing just the opposite. All of us who revere the strength and resolve of President Kennedy will be supporting John Kerry on Election Day."

The sad thing is that President Bush has far more in common with her father than John Kerry could ever hope for. Bush views the world through the same realistic prism that Kennedy used. Kerry's view of the world changes depending upon who's giving him talking points that day.

This just defies belief. A fool has had the life of a woman in his hands, hopefully the state will be able to act on this quickly.

Projection?

There's a psychological term called projection. Essentially it entails someone projecting their own neuroses and beliefs onto another person. I see that being done by Democrats to Republicans.

Democrats scream that Republicans are using voter harassment, threats, and violence against Democrats. Why is then that Republican headquarters across the country are being burglarized, vandalized, and broken into? Why are 35,000 voter registrations from a left leaning group being challenged due to the fact that addressess don't seem to exist? Why have bullets been fired into Bush/Cheney headquarters in several states? Why have GOP voters been singled out for harassment at polls in Florida? Why did a bunch of Kerry thugs in Pennsylvania (and those of you who were vets are a disgrace to the uniform you wore) initmidate a theatre into closing rather than show a film that protrayed Kerry the same way Michael Moore portrayed Bush? The dems seem to be throwing around the term 'nazi" quite freely, the tactics they have been using though seem to be coming straight from the playbook of Mein Kampf.

Studies like this show us why MTV and celebrity mouthpieces are having such a strong impact on the minds of young people. The scary thing is that they are allowing the television to do their thinking for them except this time, they aren't being told what to buy, they're being told who they should elect to run the country. The problem is they have no idea how the process works. What is being taught in schools? Here in New Jersey there was actually an attempt to remove references to the founding fathers from school text books. This was done in the interest of multi-culturalism and inclusiveness because after all, they are just a bunch of dead, white, slave owning, geezers who didn't want to pay their taxes. Why learn about the history of our country when instead, we can learn all about the importance of the SDS in the sixties and the heroic efforts of Che Guevara to bring revolution to the oppressed masses.

Every day that goes by brings me closer to home schooling.

VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican is becoming increasingly alarmed at what it regards as official anti-Roman Catholic sentiment and secular trends in Europe, as government after government approves measures on abortion, family law and scientific study that run counter to Catholic teaching. Vatican concerns rocketed into view during a controversy in the European Parliament this month over remarks on homosexuality and women by an Italian politician who has close ties to the Holy See. On Oct. 5, a committee of European Parliament members voted to oppose Italy's nomination of Rocco Buttiglione, a Christian Democrat, to be the European Union's justice commissioner. During a hearing before the Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee, he had labeled homosexuality a sin and asserted that the family exists so a woman can raise children under a man's protection. Buttiglione is a friend of Pope John Paul II and various high-ranking Vatican officials. "It looks like a new Inquisition. It is a lay Inquisition, but it is so nasty," Cardinal Renato Martino, who heads the Vatican's Council for Justice and Peace, told reporters this week in response to the dispute. "You can freely insult and attack Catholics and nobody will say anything. If you do so for other confessions, let's see what would happen."

For years European culture has declined into a self obsessed, immoral/amoral, self pitying, confused, pit of irrelevance. The behavior of many European leaders is akin to a prima donna in her later years. She uses all of the tricks at her disposal to try to preserve her lost youth. In her own eyes she is beautiful; to others, she is a horrid caricature of her former self. She finds herself doing things she never would have considered when she was younger in a desperate grasp for attention and favor. Rather than age gracefully she is a harpy who jumps on the latest fad or trend hoping to appear young again.

Secular Humanism, gnosticism, paganism, and pantheism are again running like fever through Europe. Various hatreds and predjudices again rise to the surface after being dormant for so long. Why is it that the more we kill, the more innocent lives we destroy, the closer we come to state sponsored atheism, we call it progress?
