Biography
I'm a professional soldier who has been a sommelier, a bartender, a waiter, a manager, a handyman (didn't do too well at that one), CCD teacher, and a perpetual student.
If you read my blog with any degree of regularity you'll find that I have very definite ideas of right and wrong. I am opposed to secular humanism, (actually all isms that oppose free will and deny the existence of a Creator in direct ignorance and/or contravention of natural law) and have an inherent distrust for anyone who refers to themselves as progressive, forward thinking, sensitive, open minded, or who feels that we the unwashed masses can only benefit from their enlightenment.
I am a practicing Catholic. I am married to an incredible woman who somehow manages to put up with all of my foibles and eccentricities. I am the father of the most beautiful and precocious daughters you will ever meet. We live in central NJ.
Interests
Reading usually non-fiction, writing as the Irish believe writers are failed conversationalists, running and fitness, cooking, I am a culinary snob, shooting, guitar off and on since I was 12 I am still not very good, music classical, rock, alternative, Irish folk, opera, theology even though my sister is the trained theologian, military history an obssession since childhood, getting lost in bookstores, sleeping if you're a parent, you know that sleep is a hobby
